Join Toronto Zoo’s Adopt-A-Pond Wetland Conservation Team and Parks Canada staff from Rouge National Urban Park this World Turtle Weekend (following World Turtle Day on May 23rd) to learn about what turtles are up to this time of year, and how to protect them during the critical nesting season. This workshop provides an interactive presentation as well as an opportunity to build a turtle nest protector and meet our Blanding's turtle ambassador Captain Sunshine! After the program, join our Adopt-A-Pond Team on an optional visit to the America’s Pavilion to see the young Blanding's turtles in our care at your Toronto Zoo.

A portion of the revenue generated by this event will directly support conservation efforts for turtles in the Greater Toronto Area.

Not available to attend and wish to take part? Email the Adopt-A-Pond Team at [email protected] to receive a pre-recorded version of the nesting workshop!
